PCAD was born from lived experience. Its founder, who survived Kenya’s 2007 post-election violence and later worked within the development sector, witnessed firsthand how colonial legacies and externally driven models perpetuate Africa’s structural challenges. Frustrated by superficial, disconnected solutions, he founded PCAD as a space to connect the dots between history and the present, between local realities and global systems, and to champion African-led, structural transformation rooted in agency and self-determination.
